Timothée
Gauvin is a qualified architect based in Paris. He is engaged in the
development of architectural projects focused on rigorous thoughts on spatial context
and a careful understanding of the process of construction. Prior to founding his
own practice, he has previously worked for several award-winning practices in
Paris, Basel and London. Over the years, his experience with projects has covered every type of budget, which were dealt with rigour
in order to find most suitable technical, poetical and contextual answers. Simultaneously with his personal
practice, Timothée is also an associate together with Jean-Philippe Gauvin and
Jean-Christophe Grosso at Gauvin Architectes, where he runs other projects,
among which folded steel prefab buildings and bridges for NGO Noria Projects.
FRTimothée Gauvin est architecte HMONP, basé à Paris. Sa pratique est
tournée vers le développement d’une réflexion rigoureuse sur le contexte spatial et une compréhension attentive
des processus de construction. Avant de créer son activité indépendante, il a
étudié à l’ENSA Paris-Est et à l’école polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, puis
travaillé au sein d’agences d’architectures en France, en
Suisse et au Royaume-Uni. Au fil des années, son expérience de projet a
couvert différents types de budgets, qui ont été traités avec rigueur
afin de trouver la réponse la plus appropriée aussi bien, techniquement, poétiquement
que contextuellement. En parallèle
de son activité personnelle, Timothée est associé avec Jean-Philippe Gauvin et Jean-Christophe
Grosso dans l’agence Gauvin Architectes, où il développe d’autres projets d’architecture
notamment des bâtiments préfabriqués en acier plié pour l’ONG Noria Projects.

Since
2019, he has been carrying out, along with his practice, a research on
architectural materials and their manufacturing process. The Material Memory
Map project was awarded FAIRE Prize in 2020, an incubator for innovative
projects initiative by the Pavillon de l'Arsenal and the city of Paris.
